The World Health Organization (WHO) published on its official website a study entitled: Green synthesis of gold nanoparticles from Sophora flavescens extract and their antibacterial effect against some pathogenic bacteria. It belongs to the Dr. Zahraa Zahraw Farhan, a lecturer in the Environmental Research Center/ University of Technology, noting that the research was previously published in (2023) in an international journal within the Scopus and Clarivate indexing (Malaysian Journal of Microbiology). The study imed to evaluate the antibacterial activity of biogenic synthesized golden nanoparticles from Sophora flavescens Aiton roots aqueous extract against multidrug-resistant (MDR) clinical bacterial isolates. Sophora flavescens root extracts and their biosynthesized AuNPs with antibacterial activity may find broad applications in fighting MDR pathogenic bacteria and therapeutic manufacturing.

Within the activities of the cultural season of the Environmental Research Center, Assistant Lecturer Asmaa Nafi Badri gave a Lecture entitled (Molecular and quantitative genetic evaluation of pure introduced lines of cherry tomato under protected cultivation conditions)

It touched on a molecular genetic study of the genetic content of eight pure lines of cherry tomato: (1) LA3002 (2) LA2838A (3) LA0797 (4) LA4355 (5) LA7371 (6) LA3534 (7) LA3535 (8) LA3530 Brought from the center Genetic sources of tomato at the University of California - Davis, USA, CM Rick Tomato Genetics Center (TGRC), University of California in Davis, USA, using 15 primers (10 of the internal sequence type (ISSR) and 5 of which are type of simple tandem sequences (SSR) in order to establish its genetic fingerprint. In light of their results, the degree of genetic distance between them was determined, and in the second stage, the pure lines of cherry tomato were included in a comparison experiment among them based on the behavior of their field characteristics and were planted according to a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replicates.

The effect of some immune parameters on the pathology of clinical and subclinical hypothyroidism. These immune parameters include white blood cells (12-17-33). This study also included some biochemical parameters to demonstrate the effect of thyroid function disorder on fat metabolism. This study included (47) Patients with clinical hypothyroidism and (12) patients with subclinical hypothyroidism, which were collected from the Endocrinology and Diabetes Center, Al-Kindi Hospital in Baghdad. The study also included (23) healthy individuals in the period between March 2017 and September 2017.
